We want to inspire, teach, develop and encourage young lives and the adults who support them, enabling them to thrive.
Committed to make a difference every day
We arrive everyday inspired to impact lives though our talents, passion and hard work coming together as a team to be our best.
Christian faith at our core
Our Christian faith and values underpins our work and organisation, offering hope and light.
In April 2015, we welcomed two of our wonderful volunteers onto our staff team - Amanda Maylin as our Office Manager and Donna Wade as our Self-Harm Worker.
Our work continues in schools and within in the community. We are now connected with all the schools (Primary & Secondary) within Hitchin.
In Sept 2016, we made a few changes to our model and we gained two new staff members. A Schools and Youth Worker and a Wellbeing Developmental Lead.
In 2008 we took over the chairing of the Forum and together we had our very first residential – Slum Survivor.
Over the next few years we extended our work into primary schools, ran town-wide events, summer camps and regular training for youth workers.
This was a fantastic weekend involving 36 young people from the local community where we lived in slums and managed to raise over £3000 for Soul Action.
Over the next few years our reputation grew and in late 2006 we received a large anonymous donation. Enter our new Director.
We were now able to provide mentoring sessions and deliver 6th form enrichment programmes.
With this new momentum, we were able to extend our work into all three Hitchin secondary schools and increased our provision to schools.
Like all things we began small in 2002. Churches Together in Hitchin (CTH) campaigned, prayed and fundraised to employ our first Schools Worker.
We started with a focus on Hitchin Boys School and began building a solid foundation and reputation for the organisation
In the beginning, we opened with a vision to provide RE lessons, assemblies and lunch groups as an opportunity to be the face of CTH within Hitchin schools
