January Wellbeing Challenge

Welcome to a New Feature of our blog. A way we can begin to do things together to promote a healthier, positive wellbeing.

Each month the entire Phase team will be taking on a challenge. We’ll let you know what it is so you can also take part. This is not a competition, do as little or as much as you can. There is no prize or punishment were just trying to hopefully encourage you to be the best you can be.

So our challenge this month is in two parts

  1. Drink more water – it is recommended that we drink approx. 8oz/ 2 litres of water per day (this is roughly around 8 glasses per day). So each day we’ll be making sure we drink at least 8 glasses per day. There are lots of ways to keep track of your progress – you could try an app like daily water free, water logged or iDrated or you could use a chart that you could colour in or tick off.

  2. Run (or walk) every day – January is notorious for higher gym memberships. After the feasting at Christmas and new year we tend to begin to think about how much food we have consumed and want to make a change. This year how about saving your money and use the motivation to simply run every day. There are no rules - the amount is up to you, just as long as you get out there and get moving. If you don't want to do it on your own think about doing it with a friend or you could try one of these R.E.D, Park Run or Healthy Hertfordshire.

We’d love to hear how your doing so pop in to the office, give us a call or drop us an email.

Look out for a post at the end of the month to read how a member of the team got on.
