Coping with Change

If there's one thing that we've all had to deal with over the past couple of years, it's change. We've all had to cope with some pretty big changes to the way that we work, the way that we socialise, and the way that we live our life. We've also had to deal with constant small changes, and the uncertainty that things might change again at any moment.

Change can be extremely challenging, especially when it is unexpected. And living with uncertainty about what the future holds or what will happen next can cause us to feel anxious, stressed and extremely overwhelmed.

BUT change can also be a huge blessing.

It might be that change creates new opportunities or makes way for something positive. Or it might just be that change allows us to grow, to learn something about ourselves, to develop our resilience or to change our priorities or perspective. Change is an important part of life and we can find ways to face it in a manageable way.

In this podcast that we created last year, we spoke to number of people about their experience of change. Some shared positive changes, negative changes, planned changes and unexpected changes. But they also shared how they coped with the challeges that change can bring, and left us with some simple, practical steps that make change a little bit more manageable.
