I'm incredibly excited to be writing this blog. Anyone who knows me knows that I love sports and I'm passionate about the benefits of physical activity - having fun, bringing people together, looking after our health and building resilience.
At Phase, we're blessed to have people support us in a variety of ways: fundraising, volunteering, one-off donations, regular giving, praying for our work and so much more.
We wanted to create a campaign that would both encourage and support people who may be interested in taking on a physical challenge as a fundraiser for Phase. Introducing: Phase Forward.
Phase Forward is simple. Phase Forward fundraisers are individuals who take on physical challenges to support Phase. It could be a triathlon, 10k, marathon, ultra marathon, swim, bike ride, or netball tournament; whatever you're favourite form of activity is, we'd love to celebrate your efforts.
Phase Forward fundraisers will receive help setting up a fundraising page and sharing their story on social media. You will also get a race/event day t-shirt or vest. Finally, fundraisers who raise £200 or more will be rewarded with some snazzy limited edition Phase socks. Anyone who raises £500 or more will earn a limited edition Phase Forward hoodie.
As part of Phase Forward, we will regularly share local events that you may be interested in taking part in. Ultimately, we want to encourage and support individuals in and around our town to take steps forwards in looking after their wellbeing, taking on a challenge, or smashing a goal. Meanwhile, we're super grateful to anyone who, in stepping forwards themselves, wants to help our work with young people keep moving towards too!
